![]() I'm aware this is not a problem everyone has, I'm just offering my two cents. For me, this places an incentive on rushing through the main story without doing the side quests, so I can get access to the shiny toys. The advantages the DLCs gave me made it far more likely on my second play-through that I would have gotten max Triad experience, which is part of the reason why I was a little upset they were not immediately available in the Definitive Edition.Īlso, according to what I have read, most of the cars are not available until after the main story is finished. I know this would have helped me.Īs a side note, I don't personally feel that having the DLC ruined the game experience, but I did finish the game the first time without managing to get max Triad experience, which really annoyed me. It could be a simple as short video talking about how the DLC is integrated into the story for smoother transitions, or a paragraph in the description. Since I'm aware that the integration of the DLC isn't likely to change (business reasons, mostly), I'd suggest making it clear to potential buyers. All 24 previously available DLC extensions have been integrated into the game, including the story-extending episode Year of the Snake and the horror-themed Nightmare in North Point. Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition Slender The Arrival (PS4). I don't understand why DLC doesn't work the same way it did in the original, and why there is no warning or really any indication at all that it might work differently. The Definitive Edition of the critically acclaimed, award winning open-world action adventure, reworked, rebuilt and re-mastered for PlayStation4. Alchemists of Dusk DX (PS4) Atelier Escha & Logy Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX (PS4). Anyone buying the game for access to the DLC (as I was) is in for a rude surprise.ĭon't violate your customer's expectations. Nothing in the description on the Store Page talks about the change in access to the DLC. Since I bought the Definitve Edition specifically for the extra DLC, discovering that none of it was available right up front (as it was in the original game) was shocking and very disappointing. It seems pointless to buy a brand new 60 dollar game when I can get it for 20 used. I've only just started, but several outfits that would be immediately available had I bought the DLC for the original are only available from a vendor for $350k. It feels like this is the response from developers when fans of PS4 and Xbox One wanted backwards compatibility. ![]() In some cases, quite a lot of in-game cash. ![]() In the Definitive Edition, you have to buy these shiny toys with in-game cash. Clothes and vehicles magically appeared in your wardrobe & garage (respectively). See, in the original Sleeping Dogs, when you finished the mission with Ming (essentially, when you get acces to the open world), you got access to the DLC. I own the original Sleeping Dogs, with several DLC (most notably various costume packs), so when I saw the Definitive Edition included the DLC I was missing for a sweet price, I was in.
